Can we take it slow?

Jaeden is not ready to do too much work. Bottlefeeding can be exhausting. You have to suck, swallow and remember to breathe. Hmmph! He still has been drinking from a bottle once each shift but he is only drinking half of it. The other half has to be gavaged. (remember, just a fancy way of saying "feeding from a tube") Since, Jaeden IS the boss, we shall take it slow without rush him. It's his call!!! Aye, aye Capt'n!!!

His weight is up 50 grams (1750 g = 3 lbs 13 oz) and he looks remarkable!!! To see Jaeden from day one to where he is now, is indeed a wonder. Nothing but a miracle!!!

As soon as I saw his isolette, I noticed it was much closer to the door to the special care room. Please understand that the special care room is the stop right before HOME!!! So that is a big step forward. Then when I looked at Jaeden, I was in awe. He was laying on his back with his eyes wide open and so very alert. He was kicking, and smiling and cooing. When I reached my hand inside he got a hold of my finger gripping tightly and would not let go. He was interactive and very happy. It was incredible. I was sooo excited I could barely keep my composure. It was truly priceless.

I was able to bottlefeed him, but he only made it half way through the bottle before he got tired and conked out on me. The rest I gavaged and he was sound asleep.

Today, I was given the status of the IVH (Intraventricular Hemmoraghe) from the ultrasound that was done this past Monday (7/14). The sono showed that there is no additional bleeding, nor is there any swelling. Actually, the clots are resolving themselves and looks to be disappearing slowly. THIS MY FRIENDS, IS STUPENDOUS NEWS!!!!!! To have heard this today, further confirms that God is indeed at work with Jaeden and he is a healer. Oh Father!!!! Mmm mmm mmm. Another ultrasound is scheduled for this upcoming Monday.

Hello Jaedan. My name is Leticia but everybody calls me Letty. Teresa is my daughter. I work for the same company as your daddy. I finally got a chance to check out your blog. Your dad has been on my case about it. Today we went to see you and I saw your daddy in a totally different way. All he could do was look at you and smile. Every little movement you did wowed us. Right now you do not know the power you have over him. Please try not to take advantage. I told your mom that I feel for her. Now she has two little men to look after. I went to see you before and didn't really get a chance to actually see you. Your daddy showed me pictures of you from his cell phone though. It was funny because when my daughter and I went to see you, my daughter said you were so small and I thought you got bigger. That's because I saw you when you were smaller. You are a blessing from God. For a while you gave your family & friends quite a scare. Keep up the good work...it will keep us on our toes. LOL God bless you and talk to you soon.
